Capacity Magazine: Unlocking The Benefits Of Age Diversity

Why is there a tendency to see people as ‘past it’ and less relevant when they reach a certain age? For me, this couldn’t be further from the truth!

I explore this in two recent articles — How Leaders Can Attract and Retain Older Workers (Forbes) and Unlocking the Benefits of Age Diversity (Capacity Magazine).

Who wouldn't want access to the wisdom and insights gained over 30 to 40 years of successful careers? In fact, we need to retain this valuable expertise within the workforce and use it to develop and mentor younger workers looking for long-term skills growth.

These individuals have much to contribute and learn, and by integrating their mentoring with flexible roles, organisations can create powerful synergies that benefit all.

In my view, age diversity isn’t just nice to have — it’s essential.
