Accounting Web: My KPI: The numbers that really matter

What’s the number that really matters to you?

For me, it’s ‘3’ — firstly because I have 3 wonderful daughters and through portfolio working, I have designed my life to be able to spend more time with them.

Secondly, it's about riding my horse 3 times a week, which helps to keep my work/life balance in check.

With the businesses we work with at The CFO Centre, yes, of course we help them to achieve their financial KPIs but beyond this, we help them to articulate and achieve the number that *really* matters to them - often the very human dreams and desires of the business owners.

This number gives context and meaning to the whole business – why it exists and what matters to those who are part of it.
