Attraction magnets which draw you to this way of working including seeking freedom from corporate life, wanting work/life flexibility, and access to a variety of clients; and
Ability to overcome fears i.e. The Turn-offs, of uncertainty of income stream (at least to start with) and getting used to this way of working.
